Dense Phase Pellet Conveying

Dense Phase pellet conveying systems are also known as pulse conveyors. Products start to move in plugs instead of flying or sliding. The product is partially fluidised but not air borne any more.  The following characteristics are distinct for dense phase pellet conveying:
 - Discontinuous and segregate phase
 - Low velocity (4~10 m/s)
 - High solid to gas ratio
 - High pressure drop
 - Products move in dunes or plugs

Advantages for dense phase pellet conveying systems include:
 - Very gentle product handling
 - Prevention of streamers/angle hair
 - Low dust generation
 - Low conveying gas flow rates
 - No noise protection measures required
